Bringing your culinary adventures into sheer moments of happiness

Home cooking can be great for your health if done properly. Bring your meal to a perfect balance of wholesomeness and beautiful seasonings by carefully choosing each ingredient, sparingly using oil, salt and sugar while adjusting the right spices for that sought-after taste.

Make sure you plan your purchases ahead of time. That way, you’ll be able to whip up delicious menus, explore new flavors and avoid wasting food and time.

By going to your local grocery store once or twice a week and refraining yourself from ordering delivery on Über Eats, you’ll kill two birds with one stone! Indeed, while saving money and improving your overall health, you will be setting up a good example for your kids to follow.

Here are a few tips to cleverly and delectably re-use the leftovers from the previous day and twist them into something completely different and delicious.

Do you have a few «sad looking » veggies looking at you in your fridge? Incorporate them in a soup, a velouté or an omelet….simple right?

Grab the fruits (you know the ones that have been sitting around too long in their bowl…) and heat them up with sugar to prepare either a coulis, a fancy marmalade or a mouth-watering jam.

As for your BBQ meat, cut it into small pieces and create a fancy fried rice or serve it slightly warm with a bit of mayonnaise and a piece of lettuce on a kaiser bun.

At this time of year, I’m sure you’re looking for a bit of warmth and comfort as cold weather strikes us. This is an all time favorite:

In a saucepan (on low heat), pour the wine from your unfinished bottle and add a little bit of brown sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.

Sip….ahhhhh…. savor this moment of pure bliss!

Don’t forget to take advantage of this confinement period to create a gathering and involve all the members of your family into preparing a scrumptious meal.

Afterwards, you’ll be rewarding yourself by enjoying your recipes and culinary creations together and cherishing some precious moments. By adding a little wine, ambiance music and dimmed lights, you will be transported into an atmosphere filled with good, positive vibes that will certainly strengthen your family bond.
